Mustard fish fry is just another recipe which came out well when tried unintentionally.That is when I felt to share this recipe with you all.Simple ,yet it has got an appealing taste different from usual fried fish varieties. Ingredients Needed Yellow Mustard paste-1 tsp Fish -Of your choice. Onion- 1 small Turmeric powder- a  pinch Salt- Green Chilly paste- Oil- 1 -2 tsp (for shallow frying) How to prepare Mustard Fish Fry? Make a paste with onion,salt,turmeric,green chilly and yellow mustard . Marinate the fish and keep aside for 15 minutes.Shallow fry in vegetable oil. This easy mustard fried fish recipe is very healthy as we are using very little oil. ENJOY...!

Battered Fish Recipe

Fish - All purpose flour-2tbsp Eno Fruit Salt-1/2 tsp (You can also use baking powder ) Fennel powder-1-2 tsp Paprika-1tbsp Garlic paste-1/2 tsp Salt-to taste Oil-2tbsp(for shallow frying) Mix all ingredients with warm water to get a thick batter.Dip fish pieces and shallow fry.. You can also serve this with finger chips or mashed potatoes.

This fish fry is healthy since this is cooked, wrapped in banana leaf thus making it less oily.You can use aluminium foil to wrap the fish and instead of frying,bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Sole fish fry

Sole fish is a very tasty and easy to cook variety. Cooking time is hardly 5-6 minutes. Ingredients (all according to your taste) Sole fish- Flour- Salt - Paprika/Kashmiri chilly powder-2tsp Rosemary (dried)-1tsp Oil-1 tbsp(Just enough to shallow fry) Lemon juice-1tbsp Parsley for garnishing. Method Of preparation Clean the fish. Mix the flour with salt and chilly powder in a bowl. Now coat the fish with this flour. Heat a non stick pan/grill and pour in 1 tbsp oil. On a medium heat,add rosemary to the oil,shallow fry the fish coated with the flour. Finally add the lemon juice and serve hot with chips. Garnish with parsley chopped.

 Fish Fry. As you can well understand from the picture,this fish fry is divine..Actually,the recipe was just a trial.But I think because of the right choice of fish ,the result came out to be a big wow. I used skinless pieces of Trevally Fish .Try this out and enjoy. Ingredients Boneless skinless Trevally fish-500 g Shallots -6-8 nos Red chilly powder-1 tsp Dry red chilies-5-6 nos Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp Garlic-1 clove Coconut oil-1 tbsp Salt Method Of preparation For Marination In a pan add 1 tsp oil.Fry shallots,dry red chilies and garlic . Add salt,1 tsp chilly powder and turmeric powder.Blend in to a smooth paste. Marinate fish pieces for 1/2 an hour in this masala. Grill or fry using very little oil. BINGO!!  Serve hot.

Fish Curry-South Kerala Style

This is a very delicious fish curry from the southern region of Kerala. This recipe I got from a cookery show. I am trying to stick to the original recipe since it’s a recipe inherited from ancestors. This is a bit different from the usual fish curry. Try this one with any fish that’s available to you and enjoy this lip smacking curry!! Ingredients King fish-1/2 kg Ginger-1 tbsp Onion/Shallots-1/2 cup Kokum-12 no’s Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp Coconut-1 cup Dry red chili-10 no’s Coriander seeds-1/4 cup Method of preparation Step1 Clean the fish. In a heavy bottom vessel, pour 1 cup of water(or the water enough to cover the fish). Boil the water with Kokum (U must use 10-12 no’s), curry leaves, salt and turmeric powder. When it starts boiling add fish pieces and cook  on medium fire. After the fish is fully cooked, you can remove the Kokum from the gravy. Step2 Dry roast coconut on a dry pan.
