Green Beans (French Beans) Recipe

Green Beans shallow fried with Gram flour . Green beans is a common ingredient in almost all vegetarian dishes; Today's recipe is a bit different from what we make normally,at home .Tried to make it  less oily,less spicy and so healthy. You can serve it with plain rice or bread. Green Beans or French Beans are low in calories and packed with nutrients. It is rich in dietary fiber, has excellent levels of Vitamin A. Try to select tender beans .It contains healthy amounts of minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, and potassium, which are very essential for body metabolism. This is a simple recipe, which can be made in 5 minutes. Ingredients 1. Green Beans (French Beans) - Cut it into small pieces or longitudinally 2. Triple Chocolate Pudding

Triple Chocolate Pudding This is again an innovated recipe. This is a very simple but very delicious Pudding for kid’s .As the name suggests, there are three kinds of chocolate flavor in this recipe. Ingredients 1. Chocolate Biscuits- 8-10 (as per the size of the pudding dish) 2. Dark Cooking chocolate – 3. Melted Chocolate – 4 tbsp 4. Cream- 150g 5. Sugar – ½ cup 6. Vanilla essence- 1tsp Method of preparation It’s so simple. Beat cream with sugar until fluffy. Add in vanilla essence. Arrange chocolate biscuits in a pudding dish; slowly pour ½ of the cream mix on top of the biscuits without disturbing them. Now pour in a layer of melted chocolate. Again very slowly, pour in the remaining cream mix .Now cover the pudding with grated chocolate. Freeze for ½ an hour. Delicious triple chocolate pudding is ready to serve.

Okra in Yogurt (Bhindi Kadhi)

India is rich in its variety of culture, food habits and what not... This recipe is called Kadhi and it is from the Indian state Gujarat. Basically, Kadhi means thick gravy using yogurt, chickpea flour etc.Kadhi is an every day food  in many  northern parts of India. It’s very healthy, since it has Protein from the Chick pea flour, Calcium from yogurt and Vitamins from the veggies .It’s a good combination with plain rice. Spinach and Broccoli in oregano Sauce

Spinach and Broccoli in Oregano Sauce This is a very tasty and nutritious dish. You can serve cooked Pasta or Spaghetti topped with this creamy sauce .It’s a complete meal as such. Kids would love this since its creamy and less spicy. Ingredients Spinach – 1 cup Broccoli – 5-6 florets Pepper powder- 1 tsp Salt –to taste Garlic-2 cloves Green Chilly- 2 no’s For oregano sauce Milk- 1 cup Butter -2tabsp Flour- 1-1/2 tbsp Dry Oregano -2tsp Pepper powder-1/2tsp Salt-1/4tsp Method of Preparation Melt butter in a pan .Add in chopped Garlic and green chilly. Now sauté the veggies. Add salt and pepper .Cook for 3-4 minutes. Oregano Sauce Oregano White sauce Mix butter and flour into a smooth paste. Heat a pan and sauté this paste until it gets cooked. Now add in 1 cup milk and cook on a low flame .Add in dry oregano, salt and pepper. Cook until its creamy consistency. Add in the sautéed veggies mix well. Serve with Pasta or Spaghetti.

Sumac Chicken

Sumac Chicken Sumac is a Middle Eastern Spice. Arabic Zaatar contains Sumac as one of its ingredients. Sumac is the fruit of a shrub (Rhus coriaria) that grows throughout the Middle East and the Mediterranean. Just sprinkle this purple spice to get a tangy flavor to the food. It’s an essential ingredient in Middle Eastern cuisine, available in the spice section of all supermarkets in Middle East. You can use this spice with Chicken, Fish or even in Salads just as a substitute for lemon. Today’s Recipe:-Sumac Chicken Ingredients Chicken – 500gms Turmeric Powder- 1tsp Paprika – 1tbsp Red Chili powder- 2 tsp Cinnamon powder-1tsp Corn flour – 1 -2 tsp Garlic paste – 1 tsp Salt- to taste Sumac- As per your taste. Preparation Marinate Chicken with all the above ingredients and finally sprinkle Sumac .Keep refrigerated for 2 hrs. Grill or fry in oil. Yummy, tangy very tasty Chicken is ready. It’s worth a trip to Middle East to buy this spice, Sumac.

Carrot Cake Pancake

Carrot Cake Pancake(Eggless) This is an easy, very nutritious and more than anything, VERY TASTY breakfast for you and family. I was experimenting with Carrot ,wanted to make an easy Bread.. Then suddenly thought, why dnt use our normal Pan instead of Oven?And so,here it is..! This pancake has got a new flavor and its a quick breakfast. Just wanted a change from  those boring side dishes with Carrot. Hope you have noticed the steam on my Pan cake. :-) Ingredients All Purpose flour – 1cup Finely Grated Carrot- 1 cup Milk- 2 tbsp Oil- 2 tbsp Vanilla essence -1 tsp Baking Powder – 1 tsp Baking soda- ½ tsp Salt – ¼ tsp Sugar- 1-2 tbsp Method of preparation Make a cake batter as follows. Beat oil with Sugar, add in salt. Now add milk and Vanilla. Sieve flour and baking powder, and soda .Add in to the above mixture. Finally add grated

Besan Ladoo

Basan Ladoo Besan Ladoo is the easiest of any Indian sweet dish. Just follow the measurements given and there you are..!!! Ingredients Gram Flour (Chickpea Flour (Besan))- 2 cups Ghee – 1 cup Sugar 1-1/14 cup Almonds (Pistachios) Method Melt Ghee in a heavy bottom pan. Add Gram flour and mix well without lumps over a very low heat. The aroma will tell you whether the flour is cooked in ghee. Now switch off the stove and add sugar .Mix thoroughly with a spatula.
