Garlic-Butter rice is something I came up with, when I didn’t get time to make a big meal.
So another quick recipe, my family loves it and I am sure, your kids too will.
No one can resist the aroma of garlic sauteing in butter. So here we go !
Butter- 1 tb sp
Garlic – 4 cloves finely chopped
Cashew nuts -
Rice -1 cup
Cardamom, cloves, cinnamon –crushed 1 tsp
Spring onion- to your taste
Salt- to taste
Melt butter in a heavy bottomed pan .Add 1 tsp sugar, when it turns brown, add onion sliced.
Add the crushed spices and rice. Let the rice fry for 2 minutes .Add cashew nuts and spring onion.
Now pour in water and add salt .Cook until done.
Garnish with spring onion.
Serve hot. I served it with 'Dal Makhni (Creamy Lentils) "
